Do I need to trim my Summer Cascade Wisteria for the winter in Zone 4?

Great question!

Late winter and early spring is a great time to prune your Summer Cascade Wisteria and tie up and help train the branches. Then, after it flowers, you can do a little more cleaning up and work on training the new growth. When it is time to fertilize, avoid one that is high in nitrogen. For beautiful flowers, you will need one that has a higher middle number – phosphorous.

Thanks for writing!
