Do weigelas require a lot of water when in direct sunlight?

Anything newly planted will get wilty when the summer sun comes on and the temperatures rise.

Especially, when the temps go up to 90 and above. After a year or two, once the weigelas have good roots and are established, you will find them to be pretty much carefree. In the meantime, when stressed, they will need an extra watering every now and then.
