Do you have any fragrant plant recommendations for Washington?

This is a great time to start planting!

My first choice for your garden is garden phlox – Grape Lollipop, Coral Crème Drop, Cotton Candy and Bubblegum Pink. The flowers have vibrant colors and are wonderfully fragrant. Other fragrant perennials to include in your garden – lavender, dianthus, peonies, monarda and lilies. Snow White Mockorange is a medium sized shrub with white fragrant flowers in the spring and again in the summer. Don’t forget to plant a lilac. Virtual Violet has wonderfully fragrant flowers in the spring. Be sure to include a vine or two – Honeybelle Honeysuckle and Summer Cascade Wisteria.

Thanks for writing!
