How do I keep my grass green all summer, and when is the best time to plant bulbs?

I’m not the best at growing grass. You see, I much prefer growing flowers!

Fertilizing the lawn in the fall and spring are helpful along with regular watering. What kind of lawn do you want? Bermuda grass loves it hot. Bluegrass doesn’t. Fescue seems to hold up well in the heat. Now, let’s talk bulbs. Cannas, dahlias, gladiolas and lilies are some of the bulbs you can plant in the spring for summer flowers. In the fall, plant alliums, crocus, daffodils, grape hyacinths and tulips. Alliums and daffodils are good choices for gardens where deer graze.
