I’m so glad you have added Campfire Rose to your garden! It has beautiful flowers. Yes, in the spring, prune out any dead branches caused by winterkill. And, always remove branches that rub against each other. Pruning should be done in early spring. Roses do best with some open branching that allows in good air circulation. When deadheading, prune back to the next set of leaves. Removing the old flowers will help put the energy into growing new flowers.
