How long does it take for Firedance Dogwood to mature?

I love how dogwoods are pretty throughout all the seasons!

Firedance and other dogwoods are moderate-fast growers, about 6” a year. I wouldn’t overfertilize them trying to rush them to maturity. Let the roots get settled in this first year. Once they are established, in a few years, you will find they quickly recover from hard pruning and are then considered fast growing.
