How much sun or shade does the diamond rouge hydrangea need?

The amount of sun and shade for a hydrangea can be tricky to answer.

Generally, in colder zones, they need full sun. In the southern states, they can do morning sun and afternoon shade. Diamond Rouge Hydrangea would be fine on the northeast corner as long as it isn’t under the eave of the house. Too much shade and it won’t flower as much as you want. But, it will do best with at least 6 hours of sun.
