I bought a Tiger Eye Sumac that appeared to be healthy, but when I put it in the ground it started dropping lower leaves. Is that something that should worry me?

It probably dropped some leaves due to the stress of switching homes from the nursery to the garden.

Be careful not to overwater it – Tiger Eyes Sumac doesn’t like wet ground. Expect it to take 3-4 years to get to 6’ tall. It first needs to grow roots and get established. We don’t sell directly to the public. If you don’t see what you want at your local nursery, be certain to try the online nurseries.
