I have a rhododendron that is not blooming, what can I do?

A couple of things come to mind.

The flower buds might be nipped by spring frosts and freezes. If so, it won’t flower. Another cause is no fertilizer or the wrong fertilizer. Look for one that is good for azaleas and rhododendrons. Your local garden center should be able to help. Then, be certain to follow the directions on the label. More isn’t always better.
