I have a Tiger Eye Sumac, will this remain a low lying bush or do all varieties grow hardier woody trunks and branch out at the top?

Expect your Tiger Eye Sumac to mature 5-6’ x 5-6’.

The base will become woody with interesting branches. As you’ve probably noticed, the new leaves will have bright color each year. Sumac is a plant that colonizes (suckers) and the new shoots can be pulled as they come up. In time, you might see the fuzzy red cones that other sumacs have.
