I have two Little Devil Ninebarks in front of our home, but both plants are starting to grow eastward instead of upright. Help, please!

I had something similar happen with a shrub in my garden.

Since it was a new plant, the stems were kind of wispy and didn’t grow upright. To help grow sturdier branches, I cut it back in the early spring and the new branches came on stronger. Also, I avoided fertilizing with a heavy dose of nitrogen and used compost instead. Give that a try with your ninebarks in the spring.
