If your part of the country has ice in the winter, you may find that your crapemyrtles have some winter dieback, especially if spring warms up early and then a freezing spell comes after. If that happens, prune out those dead branches in the spring. Other than some clean up pruning, you really won't have very much maintenance. They do fine without fertilizer.
