I DIDN’T ROUGH UP THE ROOTS BEFORE PLANTING. SHOULD I DIG UP THE ROOTS AND ROUGH THEM UP, OR LET IT BE?

I’ve done that from time to time! I get so excited about a new plant and I don’t do things the right way.

If the temperatures are going to be mild, you can dig it up, rough up the roots and replant. Water thoroughly. It may set the plant back a little bit but it will recover. However, if you are headed into a hot and dry spell, leave well enough alone.

Happy gardening!
