I've had my hydrangea for three years, but it never flowers. What am I doing wrong?

Have you tried giving it extra protection in the winter?

The flower buds for the next year are formed in the summer. If your hydrangea is dying back to the ground each year, you won’t have flowers. Wrapping the shrub in chicken wire and filling it with leaves will help protect the buds and branches from freezing back. Give this a try and see if you have flowers next year.
