I was weed eating my Bubblegum Pink Phlox and cut it down to the soil! Will it grow back?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who does things like that!

Your Bubblegum Pink Phlox may send up new stems and leaves this year. Whether or not you see new growth this year, leave the roots (not bulbs) alone and mark the spot so you don’t forget about the plant. No doubt, it will grow again next year from the roots. If you see signs of life, back away from it when weed eating!

Thanks for writing!
