I would love to grow hydrangeas but am concerned with how to treat them in winter.

Good news - hydrangeas are actually easy to overwinter!

It’s best to plant them in the spring or early fall. Take time to amend the soil with compost and be certain to pack the dirt in around the roots. Water well and mulch. The care you give to planting hydrangeas will help with overwintering. Then, watch my prep for winter video to learn care tips for fall to prepare your plants for winter.
