My Strawberry Sundae® Hydrangeas are losing leaves and they are dry and brown. I think I might not have watered them enough. Can they recover?

Don’t feel bad, I’ve done the same thing with new plants in my garden.

At this point in the year, it’s important to keep the Strawberry Sundae® Hydrangea alive and help them get through the winter. Deep watering at the base of the hydrangeas is better than frequent overhead watering. If they aren’t already mulched, before winter, mulch the base of each plant. Spots with morning sun and late afternoon shade is ideal. Though you can’t change the way the leaves look now, they will leaf out fine next year. Just remember to avoid overhead watering next year.
