My weigela is in a mostly sunny spot, but is not doing well. What could be wrong?

Does it look like there is still potential to save it?

If there is potential, I would dig it up and transplant it to a sunny spot. While it is out of the ground, cut back the dead branches. Also, check the roots. If they are black and mushy, it was in a place that needed better drainage. If they are light brown, it probably needed more water. When replanting, use our planting and care guide for tips on getting off to a better start next year.
