Should I prune off the dead flowers on my Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea?

It's frustrating when a new plant doesn't look the way we want it to.

Go ahead and prune off the brown flowers. The plants may be stressed moving from the nursery into the garden. Are the leaves healthy or do they show signs of needing water or getting too much water? Once they get settled in and start growing roots, you will be able to water less frequently. Next year, watch for lots of flowers.
