The nice thing about hibiscus shrubs is they aren’t fussy about soil. And, they really don’t need fertilizer. Hawaii Hibiscus will be just fine planted in your garden. If you are concerned about soil, amend with compost. Remember, hibiscus love water. So, a place with poor drainage won’t be a problem. If you want to fertilize, give it a balanced fertilizer in early spring. Be sure to help prepare it for winter. Check out my video for great tips.
