When is a good time to plant in Wisconsin?

When is a good time to plant in Wisconsin?

Great question!

I think it really depends on your local forecast. Early fall is generally a good time since the ground temperature is still warm enough to help the roots settle in. You have time to water well and mulch for winter protection. If you get too late into fall, November, and December, I would avoid it. If you decide to plant this fall, be certain to watch my video on prepping for winter.

Thanks for writing!
