Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea is a panicle hydrangea. This group of hydrangeas flower a little later in summer and then hold their flowers through fall. Mine are just starting to show signs of flower buds and should be flowering later in July. In your area, they do best in full sun. I would avoid daily watering. Instead, just give it a good deep soaking once a week. This will encourage your hydrangea to grow deeper roots. If you decide to fertilize, use a fertilizer with a higher P on the NPK formula to encourage flowers. Avoid a high N as that will encourage your hydrangea to just grow leaves. Also, keep in mind that pruning at the wrong time will remove the flower buds. Check out my video on hydrangea pruning for some good tips.
