If they are in a container, consider bringing them inside and water only occasionally during the winter. If in the ground, be prepared for them to get a little rough looking by the end of winter. Fortunately, they are tough plants and will recover. The biggest problem can be too much moisture and rotting. Good drainage for hens and chicks is just as important during cold months as it is in the warm months. All in all, they should be fine outside.
