Would your jet stream hydrangea survive our winters?

Your zone 4 garden has many options for cold hard plants.
Jet Stream Oakleaf Hydrangea is just on the border of being hardy in your area. If you want to give it a try, build a cage around it in the fall using chicken wire or something similar. Then, fill with leaves and pack them around the base and branches. The key to getting it to flower each year is protecting those branches from dying back. Oakleaf hydrangeas flower on old wood. Don’t prune the branches in the spring. Just them leaf out. Thanks for writing and good luck! - Amy #zone4 #shrub #overwinter
